Coast Guard talks pollution control, operations

The service says the public is obligated by law to report all pollution.

The Coast Guard Jacksonville Sector has responded to roughly 70 reports of pollution spills on waterways since the beginning of the year.
 
Only about 15 ended up being serious, but the Coast Guard wants the public to understand that any potential pollutant problem needs to be reported by law and has to be investigated.
