FULL-TIME RECOVERY TECHNICIAN POSITION (Holland, MI)

This position is located in our Holland, MI office (relocation benefits are not included). This position reports directly to the Director of Greater Michigan Services. Responsible for the packaging, storing, cleaning up, transporting, and disposing of waste material, including hazardous waste, in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Handle wastes at work sites
• Carry out tasks involving manual labor
• Other duties (temporary or permanent) as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Valid Chauffeur License
• Good driving record (3 points or less)
• Reliable transportation
• 24-hour contact number
• Valid Passport
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
• Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Positive and professional at all times
• Must demonstrate a pro-active approach to all tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous field work in industrial maintenance, environmental remediation, or emergency response
• Previous work experience with wind towers
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification
• Trained in Asbestos Abatement
• Trained in Confined Space
• Trained in Incident Command System (ICS)

Special Position Requirements:

• 24/7/365 work schedule
• Travel as necessary (extensive and project-driven)
• Up-to-date HAZWOPER, ICS, and Confined Space training certification

Work Requirements:

Work primarily out in the field. Must be physically and mentally able to maintain work in demanding conditions (e.g., rough weather, high heights, remote locations, etc.). May also be required to work around chemicals and other toxic substances. Ability to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
